the code for my widget border is

#sidebar #about,#sidebar .widget_text {
border:5px solid #(COLOR CODE);
color:#(COLOR CODE);
border-bottom:5px solid #(COLOR CODE);
padding:10px;
}

#sidebar #about h2,#sidebar .widget_text h2 {
color:#(COLOR CODE);
margin:0;
padding:0;
}

#sidebar .widget_text {
color:#(COLOR CODE);
margin:10px 0;
}

#sidebar ul ul li {
color:#(COLOR CODE);
border:0;
font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
letter-spacing:0;
margin-top:0;
padding:0 0 0 3px;
}

#sidebar ul mail a {
color:#(COLOR CODE);
text-decoration:none;
}

#sidebar ul ul li a {
color:#(COLOR CODE);
text-decoration:none;
}

And just replace all the (COLOR CODE)’s with a actual color code.

This is the code for widget background is —

#wrapper {
width:730px;
overflow:hidden;
background-image:url(‘EXAMPLE URL’);
background-repeat:repeat;
background-attachment:fixed;
background-position:50% 0;
border:5px solid #000;
text-align:left;
margin:10px auto;
padding:0;
}

#content {
background:#fff;
border:4px solid #fff;
width:470px;
text-align:left;
margin:0 auto;
padding:5px;
}

And just replace EXAMPLE URL with the URL of the picture you want as your sidebar graphic! Make sure the color doesnt blend in with the text!
